By purchasing or using Monarch ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
Monarch is a macOS productivity software tool. You agree to use the Software only for its intended purposes as a productivity tool. Use of the Software outside of its intended purposes — including but not limited to automation abuse, unauthorized system access, or any unlawful activity — is a violation of these Terms and may result in license revocation.
Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Monarch on your devices, subject to the seat limits associated with your license tier. You may not:
Each license key is tied to a single device. Attempting to circumvent license validation, share license keys, or activate the Software beyond your purchased seat limit is a violation of these Terms and may result in license revocation.
License resale is strictly prohibited. Reselling, auctioning, or transferring a license to another party violates these Terms and may result in the immediate invalidation of the license, including any limited edition benefits or perks associated with it. Monarch reserves the right to revoke such licenses without notice or compensation.
Monarch offers a 30-day free trial with full access to the Software. The trial requires no payment information upfront and is designed to give you a complete picture of what Monarch offers before committing to a purchase.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. Monarch is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges unless explicitly stated at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change for new purchases, but existing license holders will not be charged again.
Because Monarch offers a full-featured 30-day free trial, all payments are considered final and non-refundable. All users are encouraged to take full advantage of the trial period to evaluate the Software before purchasing.
Monarch is available through the Setapp platform. Users who access Monarch via Setapp are subject to Setapp's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Regardless of distribution channel, Monarch does not implement any data collection beyond what is described in the Privacy Policy — this applies equally to Setapp users.
Monarch is designed and supported exclusively for standard macOS installations on Apple hardware. Monarch makes no guarantees of support, functionality, or stability on non-standard configurations, including but not limited to Hackintosh builds or macOS running inside virtual machines.
Purchasing a Monarch license does not entitle you to membership, moderation rights, or any standing within Monarch's communities on Discord, Reddit, or any other platform. Community access and conduct on those platforms are governed separately by their respective platform rules and any posted community guidelines.
In the event that Monarch is permanently discontinued, a final update will be released that removes all license validation, allowing the Software to be used freely and indefinitely without a license. This commitment is made in good faith to protect the investment of everyone who has purchased a license.
Monarch aims to provide updates and improvements on an ongoing basis. However, no specific update schedule, feature additions, or customer support is guaranteed by contract. Only Luna and Prompto Licenses are entitled to lifetime updates. Major version upgrades may be offered as separate purchases for Freya (perpetual) licenses.
All rights, title, and interest in and to Monarch — including all intellectual property rights — remain exclusively with the developer. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Software.
Monarch is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Monarch does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all system configurations. You use the Software at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monarch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.
Monarch reserves the right to revoke your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies in your possession.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. If material changes are made, you will be notified via Discord, Email, and the changelog displayed immediately upon updating the app. Notification of these changes will be released prior to the changes being implemented.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
